Shutterfly Holiday Cards {Review and Giveaway}

They only time I really get any "real" snail mail is during the holidays. I love seeing family getting together and taking pictures! I just love getting cards in the mail. I missed that! The holidays are fast approaching. I was planning to do a Christmas cards but maybe end up doing a New Year's one instead. I don't know yet! I would like to get the whole family into the photo card this time around. I usually just send them with the kids' pictures on them. My "plus one more" is coming so close around Christmas time!

Rustic Gallery
Snowman Memories
There's so many designs to choose from but my top 3 for the holiday cards are Rustic Gallery, Flurry Of Snowflakes, and  Snowman Memories. There's something for everyone! I like the new feature, back of card editing, where you can add photos and text on the back of certain type of cards that you choose. Click here to compare all cards with their different features. I'm planning on doing the flat stationary. I just need to narrow it down.

Flurry Of Snowflakes

There's even wonderful personalized holiday gifts that you can order. I've ordered a mouse pad and poster and even photo books before but I didn't know you could get wall decals! How cool would that be but it's a little out of my price range ($60-100 depending on size)!!! You can make coasters to puzzle and everything in between.

Farm Match App {Review}

With the convience of technology my kids have plenty of stuff to entertain themselves with on the iphone and ipad. I like that there are so many free apps you can download.

LearningAppsforKids.com  has a matching and memory game called Farm Match. It's a simple game with 3 levels: Easy, Medium, and Hard. BabyGirl is 3 1/2 years old and she is able to play on all the levels. She likes the pictures of the farm animals. I like that it states the animal names. I wish it would also make animal noises. She would actually enjoyed that! It keeps score and time, but it doesn't save it. You don't know if you're any faster but I don't think BabyGirl mind! Bubbie haven't had a chance to play it since they fight over it.

For right now, there's only Farm Match. I can wait to see what other new learning apps will be added to the site.

The No-Cry Picky Eater Solution {Review}

the no-cry solution

I’m excited to announce the newest book from Elizabeth Pantley “No-Cry” series, The No-Cry Picky Eater Solution. The book is full of tips and tricks to helps you to:

Get your child to eat--and enjoy!--vegetables, grains and other healthy food
Reduce the sugar, fat, and junk food without your child noticing the change
Make subtle, healthy improvements in favorite recipes to boost nutrition for the whole family
Relax and enjoy mealtime and snack time at your home
Instill good eating habits that your children can take into adulthood

To make your picky eater and the whole family happy, Elizabeth has tapped her culinary friends to share delicious recipes that are not just healthy but kid-friendly, too. The No-Cry Picky Eater Solution features recipe contributions from:

Missy Chase Lapine (The Sneaky Chef);
Jennifer Carden (Toddler Café);
Kim Lutz and Megan Hart (Welcoming Kitchen);
Lisa Barnes (The Petit Appetit);
Barbara Beery (Green Princess Cookbook);
Cheryl Tallman and Joan Ahlers (So Easy Toddler Food); and
Janice Bissex and Liz Weiss (No Whine with Dinner).

My kids have actually switched roles. Sissy use to be the picky one. She will at least try the first bite before complaining that it's gross. She will eat the twisted string cheese but won't eat the mozarella only cheese. Go figure! Kids are complicated in their own ways. Bubbie and BabyGirl are now my picky eaters. If they think they won't like it, they won't even want to touch it. I know how important it is to instill good eating habit early on. I still have an adult nephew who refuse to eat any sort of vegetables except maybe for carrots, I think. That's even on rare occasion!

I'm not even sure if I like the Leaf Us Alone Brussels Sprouts by Petit Appetit. It's a few of the veggies that I don't care too much for. The Sneaky Chef Brainy Brownies might be something my kids would go for, as long as they didn't know what I sneak in or they might not care if it taste yummy!

I didn't realize there are rules that are okay to break like "Eat until you are full". I always ask and make sure that my kids are full before they are done with what they are eatting. I know the plates doesn't necessarily need to be clean off, which is another rule you can break :) Can't break routine family dinnertime. Ms Elizabeth gives useful insight to why to follow the rules or break it. This book makes a great reference for anyone, not just for first-time parents only. I found the book useful and definitely would like to try the different recipes found in the book.

You can buy the No-Cry Picky Eater Solution at Amazon for $10.98. Click below for more info.

Dr. LeWinn by Kinerase {Review}

Time goes by really fast. In less than a couple of months, I'll be in my last year as a thirty-something. That's right forty is just around the corner for me!!! Say it isn't so...It's weird to think how old I'm at right now. It feels like I'm still in my 20's except for the aches of getting old. Hahaha. And the...oh, no...aging around the face!

I do have some age spots around my upper cheeks and wringling in my forehead and the medial part of my face in my cheeks and mouth, especially when I make a BIG smile. And redness around my nostrils. I got to try the Wrinkle Repair Daily Cream with SPF 30. It went on smoothly and was non-greasy with a pleasant light scent. It made my skin feel soft. I've only used it for a few days, so far, I'm impressed. I can't wait for the cream to decrease or lighten my age spots and redness.

The Wrinkle Repair Daily Cream with SPF 30

• Softens lines and wrinkles (DEFINITELY)
• Brightens skin and makes it more vibrant
• Makes skin feel soft and hydrated (yes)
• Helps skin stay youthful with fewer wrinkles and dark spots (I'm hoping!)
• Protects again sun damage (SPF 30)

I also receive the Under Eye Recovery. Both products I received are PARABEN-FREE. I don't think I have dark circles but more of a discoloration under the eyes. It just might be my genetic make-up! Hopefully, it will brighten them. This also went on smoothly and was non-greasy. I didn't notice any scent when applying. The result can be obtained in 14 days with noticeable results (I'm not there yet):

• Soothes and deflates puffiness
• Decreases dark circles as it brightens
• Smoothes the look of wrinkles
• Prevents future eye bags

All of Dr LeWinn's products (consists of 10 anti-aging cleansers, moisturizers, and daily treatments) have clinical strength Kinetin with cosmeceutical ingredients.

Kinetin:
• Is a powerful antioxidant proven to improve the appearance of skin tone and skin texture
• Slows down visible aging by helping keep cells acting healthier, longer
• Is naturally derived from plants
• Is found in the entire Dr. LeWinn by Kinerase® skincare portfolio
• Works gently and effectively without exfoliating or forcing cell turnover, which can cause irritation

Dr. LeWinn by Kinerase products can be found at selected Walgreens or Walmart and Duane Reade locations for $25-35.
