This is part of the Let’s Grow DVD series. “Safety First” is hosted by Sean and Chica from The Sunny Side Up Show, featuring a special collection of adventures with your favorite friends Barney, Thomas the Tank Engine, Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam and Kipper.
I think school keeps kids safe from injury. Summer is a time for bike-riding, horse-playing, swimming, and anything the kids can think of... such as climbing up into a tree!
Luckily, my kids haven't had any major accident! I'm always yelling at them to wear their helmets, even with the training wheels. Bubbie's not ready to give them up just yet! The "Safety First" DVD will hopefully help re-iterate that message.
The “Safety First” DVDs hit stores nationwide on June 29th but you can win one here!

I'm having a little problem with my mouse. It keeps shutting off and on! Maybe that's why I haven't been on the PC that much and the fact that the kids, more like Sissy, are out of school! Sissy will actually be away from home for 2 weeks! I'm trying to surprise her when she gets home. I'm trying to paint her room. She's been asking about it for awhile now.

Happy Father's Day
To all the men in our lives...
Thank you for being the heart of my life,
Harboring me in the arms of your love,
Anchoring me in the rock of your faith,
Needing me, that I not be in vain,
Knowing me well, yet loving me still.
You are the island I've found in my sea,
Ocean I dwell in and deep where I dive,
Unfailing heaven and passionate earth.
-By Turlough O'Carolan.
I've been crafty this past week, at least tried to be
. I made a stepping stone for the garden. It was a gift that I gave my hubby a few years ago but I had given him the box. Now I've finally got it finished! I messed it up a little bit because you could hardly see who was in the pic. Oh, well!
Sissy is the only one that gets to stay up later, watching her show. It's Movie Night for me and Hubby. See you later...

**CLOSED** Novica { Review and Giveaway }
Congratulations to Wendy at Win Win Win!
Have you heard about Novica? They are a mission-driven website associated with National Geographic (they've been inspiring people to care about the planet since 1888!), working with thousands of talented artisans around the world, including Asia, Africa, and Latin America. If you're looking for some unique gifts, stylish jewelry, exclusive paintings, and one-of-a-kind, home decor and handcrafted furniture, think about visiting Novica!
A Nation of artists throughout the world --
a village of carvers in Bali;
a family of ceramists in Brazil who have handed down their craft
from generation to generation;
a farmer in the Andes who hand-weaves alpaca sweaters.
It is a community of artists who have been isolated
for centuries by distance, time, and geography --
isolated from the very community of collectors seeking
their unique, inspired, and undiscovered arts and crafts.
Now, finally, there is a bridge connecting our separate
communities into one worldwide nation --
this is The NOVICA Nation.
A nation of people inspired by the arts and
empowered by the Internet.
We are all members.
I was definitely excited when I was contacted by Novica! I finally decided to pick a couple of pairs of Stoneware ceramic tea cups, 'Original Black' for my teapot that I have. The tea cups were more gray on the bottom. The rim and inside was more dark black brown than black. Overall, I like the look and feel. Maybe, I'll have a tea party with the girls. Bubbie hates tea :)
Surprisingly, I received the tea cups pretty quickly even though they arrived from Bali & Java! I should've taken a pic of the wrapping. No plastic here but plenty of paper/cardboard, strategically wrapping around the teacups!
They are hand-crafted featuring a glossy interior and matte exterior by Designer Tat Yan Soo, striving to craft products that are decorative, functional, and durable. With Law of Pricing the artists make more money and collectors pay less!
Win it: Novica is providing a $50 Gift Certificate to their site! Have fun browsing!
**You must be a follower of this blog to enter this giveaway. **
Mandatory Entry: Visit Novica and let me know which item you would pick from their home decor. You could pick anything from their site when you win the GC! Happy Follow Me Fridays and New Friend Friday!
Yesterday, I've been out all day but finally got to relax with one of the girlfriend from college at the pool. We are both nurses working nights. It was nice to see her again. It's been about 7 months since we last saw each other! All our kids are about the same age! Definitely need to hang out more. It's good to be surrounded by great friends.
Happy FMF and NFF!

Pretty Girl!
I had tried at 18months to get them pierced but Baby Girl got anxious and was thrashing around so much that we weren't able to do it. Now she is over 25months and more interested in earrings. When we were at the mall today, I decided to get her ears pierced! She did such a great job. Sissy recorded the video and added her own action to it! She said "to make it more interesting." The piercing didn't start until around 3:17 minutes into the video. Bubbie was interested in his blue tongue from the lollipop! You might want to turn the volume down at the end.
The other kids got to do some jumping afterwards...
Baby Girl got to ride on the Merry-Go-Round, while Sissy and Bubbie RAN AROUND until I told them to stop! But Bubbie kept running and said, "I want Mommy!" until the ride was over!!! I was exhausted by the time we had to go home. Baby Girl slept on the ride home and remained asleep in her crib until naptime was over

Googly Bands { Review }
Googly® Bands are the new craze for kids-boys and girls, ages 4 and up. What are Googly® Bands, anyway? They are actually stretchable, wearable, collectible fun-shaped bands! We received the Vehicle and Sea Life collection. Their packaging is made from OPP material which is recyclable and creates less waste. The bands themselves are made from 100% silicone so they won't pull on your hair during wear.

**CLOSED** Tropical Tradition Shredded Coconut { Review and Giveaway }
Congrats to Dina at Just Another New Blog!

Since I had my break from my laptop not working, I seemed not to be able to get back into the swing of things as much! I'm still in a bit of a funk lately...I'm spending more times with the kids during the days. They always want to go outside to play or swim. I'm trying to be off the computer to spend more time with hubby during the evenings. By that time, I too tired to get online!
I need to shake of this funk so let's start with a giveaway from Tropical Traditions for the Organic Shredded Coconut! Yay!!!
The coconut are from "the Philippines that are grown with no fertilizers or pesticides. This premium dried coconut contains no additives or preservatives, and is not sweetened. Unlike most dried coconut on the market, our dried coconut products are not treated with sulfites to keep them white. They are a great addition to recipes and baking, or just for snacks!"
I've tried a few spoonfuls of the shredded coconut and it ACTUALLY taste like coconut! Sissy did try it but didn't prefer it plain. I think it's because it wasn't sweetened like that ones I had brought before.
I found this easy recipe that I need to try out soon from the Organic Shredded Coconut.
Easy No-Bake Coconut Cream Cheesecake
* 1 8 oz package cream cheese, preferably organic
* 2 tablespoons virgin coconut oil
* 1/3 cup coconut cream concentrate
* 1 tablespoon warm water
* 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
* 1/2 cup shredded or flaked coconut
* 1/4 - 1/2 cup organic sugar or Stevia to taste
* 1/8 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
* 1/4 cup finely chopped nuts, I use pecans and chopped sliced almonds - all preferably organic
* additional flaked coconut for garnish
Buy it: The Organic Shredded Coconut is on sale now for $11.25 for 3.5 lbs bucket! It's on sale for 50% off till Sun June 6th! You can also get a free book, Virgin Coconut Oil, when you use my referral numbers (5253786) on your first online order. See Referral Program instructions at the bottom of my old post here for full details.
Win it: Mandatory entry: Visit Tropical Traditions and tell me another product you would like to try. This giveaway will end on June 24th at 1159P CST. All comments after this time is voided. Giveaway is available in the U.S. and Canada! Winners will have 72 hrs to respond or another winner will be picked.
Please have your email in your comments or set your profile to public. Please make sure to have a separate comments for each entries that counts as 2 or more. Comments are your entries to the giveaways!
