Cloth Diaper Carnival III- Traveling with Cloth Diapers!

This is my first post on the Cloth Diaper Carnival! I've been traveling with my cloth diapers a few times without any MAJOR problems. I'm usually traveling to a relative's house, so I'm able to wash the diapers, if I needed it. The farthest I've gone was to visit my sister in Texas for the 6 hrs drive! The first time I brought the majority of my stash, which is the BumGenius OS pockets. I had to stuff them while DH was driving the car. I brought some Country Save detergent and disposable wipes. I usually washed the diapers on the last day there but now it's just easier to store them in my wetbags (very full and packed down) and wash them at home. There's usually not much room to hang dry the cloth diapers. I use the dunk and swish method for the soiled ones since I don't have my sprayer with me! There's soo much to take with us when traveling: portable high chair, blankets, noise machine, etc. I must admit to forgetting something each time or not bringing enough dipes! The next time we'll be travelling will be on Thanksgiving break. I still haven't convinced my sisters into joining me into the switch to cloth. I've been cloth diapering since February of this year. Oroweat Sandwich Thins Review

Oroweat Sandwich Thins , a unique sandwich-sized flatbreads, is also known as Arnold Sandwich Thins, if you are in the East. It comes in four varieties: 100% whole wheat, multi-grain, whole grain white, and seedless rye. (I notice that the website only showed the whole wheat and multi-grain, though.) Each Oroweat Sandwich Thins are 100 calories and an excellent source of fiber (5 grams). There are no high fructose corn syrup. Sissy is a little, maybe a lot, particular about her food. She could see the grains in the Oroweat Sandwich Thins ! She did her whining and protest as usually in the beginning. These grains are noticeable on top of the Oroweat Sandwich Thins , but when eaten you just don't notice anything grain-y! I thought it was pretty smooth texture. Oroweat Sandwich Thins even have recipes on the different kinds of sandwiches to make on the website. I like the southwest (turkey, please) burger or chicken panini. YUM! Possibilities are endless. We also used the sandwich thins to make personal pizza. Each sandwich thin are already sliced into 2 pieces but I kept them together when I made the pizza. Here is my veggie pizza: Bubbie had the pepperoni pizza and Baby Girl ate her cheese pizza. Sissy ate both pizza and sandwich, a half of each! The kids had fun eating them...Sissy was the silliest! I didn't have any problems with the kids eating them once they tasted it and my kids ARE PICKY!!! Try 'em, try 'em. You may like 'em. We did!

Getting My Kids To Eat Their Veggies

The kids don't have any problems eating their fruits. They just love it! Sissy doesn't mind her veggies, either. She would get a salad by choice! I try to add additional veggie in their meal when it is taco night. We have turkey ground meat. I add the puree veggie (squash, cauliflower, broccoli, etc) that I've puree & frozen previously to the cooked meat and taco seasoning. I've made broccoli brownies but that didn't go well with the kids. My brownies is too moist for them and Sissy can still see the greens. I've brought the book by Jessica Seinfeld's Deceptively Delicious. I also steam veggies with chicken broth for more flavors. The girls don't mind that. I usually have to bribe Bubbie to take a few bites before he can have a snack after dinner! What is your guys secret to getting your kids to eat their veggies? Monday Preschool

I'm so glad that Bubbie started preschool this year. I actually got to sleep for a few hours when I got home from work today! It was the first Monday of preschool for him. He's actually in a Kids Day Out (KDO) on Monday. He loves preschool also on Tuesday and Thursday. I'm liking this! I'm getting a little tired again but bedtime is near...only a couple of hours until I get to tuck them all in ! Next year might be a different story. I might have to do Friday and Saturday again per company's requirement. My DH works occasionally Saturdays. I'll just have to see what will happen...

First Day of Preschool

Today was Bubbie's first day of school. He gets to go for 2 1/2 hrs! I'll be home with a napping Baby Girl ! Woo Hoo!!! He was a little cranky this morning and didn't want to take any picture but was fine when we left for school. He was ready to play and didn't even look back when we left him there.
